How SP Funds calculates this

Each quarter SP Funds publishes a purification factor: the percentage of that quarter’s dividend that came from sources requiring purification. The factors are calculated at the last day of the quarter and shared within 30 days of quarter end.

To find your own amount, multiply the dividend you received in a quarter by that quarter’s factor. AAOIFI’s approach is to give that amount to charity. SP Funds’s purification calculator page is the source if a figure here ever differs.
