ABOUT
Faraz Javaid
I'm Faraz Javaid, the person behind Halal ETF Planner. I'm building this site in the open: every chapter, platform overview, and comparison is written by me, and when a page rests on published research rather than firsthand use, the page says so.
The site exists because the questions I kept running into — which ETFs are Shariah-screened, what they actually cost, how investing from the GCC works — deserved calm, plain answers in one place, without urgency and without advice.
What I write
The Learn curriculum starts from first principles and builds up to portfolio habits. The platform pages describe services based on their published materials, with any referral relationship disclosed right where you'd act on it. The SIP calculator on the companion site turns the same ideas into an illustrative projection you can poke at.
What this site is not
Nothing here is financial, tax, or Shariah advice. Shariah compliance for any fund is determined and attributed to that fund's provider — I don't independently certify it, and I don't rank platforms by commission.
If something on this site looks wrong, or you just want to talk halal ETFs, use the contact page — I read everything.
New here?
The Learn curriculum starts from first principles. Chapter 1 is a good place to begin.
